OnePlus 9R launched : A Competitive Mid-Ranger


After tons of official teasers and leaks, OnePlus has finally launched its new series of devices, the OnePlus 9 Series, on 23rd March. The series consists of the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9R. OnePlus 9R is a new variant in their series about which we had talked before. In this article, we will talk about the OnePlus 9R, the mid-range smartphone in the series, which is exclusive for Indian market.

OnePlus 9R – Display and Design

OnePlus 9R supports a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz sampling rate. In front, you will also get an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos support and a 16MP selfie camera. At the back, you are getting a polycarbonate back with a matte finish. You will be getting a Quad-Camera on a rectangular frame with a 48MP primary camera. With a massive 4,500mAh battery, the device comes with a 65W Warp charging. The company claims to charges the device from 1% to 100% in 39 minutes.

Internal Specifications

OnePlus 9R is said to be an affordable gaming phone starting from ₹39,999. Under the hood, we have Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with a prime Kyro 585 core clocked at 3.2GHZ. It is supported by the Adreno 650 GPU and Snapdragon X55 modem for 5G connectivity. To speed up the performance, you can get up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It consists of a VC cooling system to max out its overall performance and the new Pro Gaming Mode. This mode optimizes your system resources, so games perform at their best. While enabled, Pro Gaming mode restricts background apps, reducing lag and improving your online gaming experience.

The Quad-Camera setup of the OnePlus 9R consists of a 48MP Sony IMX586 lens with OIS, 16MP Sony IMX481 Ultra Wide Angle lens, with 5MP Marco and 2MP Monochrome Camera. In the front, you get a punch-hole cutout of a 16MP selfie snapper.

OnePlus 9R comes in two colour variants: Carbon Black and Lake Blue and starts at ₹39,999 for 8GB RAM with 128GM storage. The big brother comes at ₹43,999 for 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
