We received the “Reply Feature” on Instagram but only for a while…

We pick up our phone, install Instagram (commonly known as “IG”) , log-in our credentials and continue using Instagram App for various tasks, whether it be posting our images, updating our stories or texting our friends, Instagram has become one of the most useful part of our life. Today let’s explore one of the feature, which is received only by few of the Instagram Users.

Were we the only one to receive this feature?

We received a new feature on Instagram, which was only available on our devices and only with us.  It was the “Reply Feature”. Instagram could introduce a “reply feature” in the future for individually replying to the messages sent by the sender.

A few days back, we had seen this reply feature available on one of our devices. Just like WhatsApp, Messenger, and Telegram, we were able to reply to the messages. We aren’t sure whether we were the only ones to get this feature or not. Also we tried to share this information on Twitter, but no one had got this feature. We also searched on the web regarding the same, and the results were the same.

You can look at the screenshot of these messages .

Just like WhatsApp, we had two ways to reply to the message.

  1. You simply have to select and hold the message in which you are interest. Now a list of options will pop-up out of which you have to select the reply option. After selecting, you can type your message.
  2. Another way was to left swipe the message, and you were good to go.

When we tried the reply feature, we personally felt that it looked a bit ugly. One change I would prefer is to reduced the size of the selected text so that it could look a bit clean.

What’s the current status?

This story was of a few days back. Currently, when we tried to use this feature, we could not find the option. We aren’t sure what it was. We had not enrolled ourselves in the Beta program. Surprisingly, the beta program itself is not having this feature.

We had already seen new features being introduced on Instagram and in coming feature, this could be one of them.

Do let us know if you had this feature by commenting below or tagging us on social media. You can also reply on the tweet.
